Omg! i went to the library and i decided to get a book..
so i picked a random book called "Burned" by Ellen Hopskin. The same author for crank. I have to admit i love this book so much . its a poetry book.. well no it isnt but the form that its written in the form .. oh well ,,
this book is about a girl that her parents wont accept her because she isnt doing anything the "Mormon way"
like having a boy friend that isnt MOrmon
drinking achohol, smoking and jusst doing things teens do .. <--- except those . haha well not me. well anyways her parents make her take classes with a mormon priest and the priest says she is possesed by the devil.. which she isn's
since then she has been acting not well in school and other places .
getting in fight
drinking way to much and getting high..
she is acting like this because their are many issues in her household
like,,
her father abuses the mother and a big time acholic.
she thinks to herself..
is this the woman role doing all the housework, producing babies one after one, and being abused by your husband or loved one?
...................................................
well i havent finished the book.. so umm bye. :]]

What personal experiences have helped you develop your perspective on immigration?

A: Some family that immigrated

Q: Do you know anyone that immigrated? If yes, then from where did he/she immigrate from?
A: Aunts & cousins from Sonora, Mexico.

Q: if you could immigrate anywhere in the world, where would you immigrate in America?

A: Australia because they have awesome accents!!

Q: What would you do if you could help and/or change immigration in America and why?

A: Help them, so they won’t be discriminated and won’t get deported.

Q: have you immigrated from somewhere? How old were you? What were thoughts then?

A: NO.

Q: Are you related to any immigrants? If so, where are they from?

A: Umm Yeah, my family from Mexico and some cousins from Brazil

Q: How do you feel about immigration?

A: I don’t know, I feel that they shouldn’t be deported, and I’m not supporting it but not going against it because some of the immigrants come as drug dealer or something bad or just coming to have a better life.

Q: Do you like immigrants come to our country?

A: Hells yeah!!

Q: Why?

A: because we wouldn’t have any tacos! Ha-ha

Q: What do you feel about immigration?

A: I don’t think its good but I also don’t think it’s bad

Q: Do you think immigrants should have any rights? Why or why not?

A: Yes, they should have the right to be free and have healthcare.

Q: Why do you think immigrants come to our country?

A: I think they come here to have a better life and also looking for, what they didn’t have in their other country

Q: How would you feel if there was no border?

A: Feel cool, will unite countries

Q: do you feel everybody is an immigrant? Why?

A: Yeah because everyone has different ethnicities so someone in the family has to come from somewhere else.

Q: How do you feel about illegal immigrants being deported?

A: Sucks for them.

Q: Do you think the government should take less action or more actions on illegal immigrants?

A: Less action.

Q: If you were an immigrant, how would your life be different?

A: Feel scared… I will be so scared that I would pee in my pants because they are so scary and be pressured if the border patrol find me and deport me

Q: What do you think about border patrol?

A: They are mean, treat people like dirt.

okay. well i have been assigned a book from my humanities teacher Ms.Kay. and it is called "Breaking Through" by Francisco Jimeniz. I really dont like reading books but I got to admit this book is very intresting! :]Well, this book is a about a family immagrating to the U.S.A. and it give the perspective of a young boy called Panchito what he goes through when he is a illegal immagrant. Panchito crossed the U.S borderfrom Mexico with his family so they can have a better life. Panchito crossed the border when he was 4 yrs old. His family dug a whole under the fence and couldnt get caught by "la migra" [that is the border patrol] or else they would be sent back to Mexico. They didnt get caught so they kept on going. They lived in Santa Maria, California in a Bonetti Ranch. They had very low income so they couldnt afford much. Panchito and his brother attended school. They would skip school some times, so they can earn some money and help thier parents in the feilds picking crops. His brother had a other job as a janitor at an other school. Panchito was in the 8th grade and was 14 yrs old. So one day, Panchito was in the middle of class and their was a knock on the door, it was a patrol officer and the principal. Panchito knew that it was here for him, so he just felt like running and was remembering all the good times he had the past couple of years. ................
well i finish the explanition tommarow .. my mom is forcing me to get off :D haha well after school tommarow i will finish. PROMISE! so buh-bye.
:] have a nice evening! :]
